Cholayil plans an aggressive all India “Medimix” push
Bhopal: Cholayil
Private Limited, is aggressively looking to offer more products under their
flagship brand Medimix, besides aiming for market expansion, including exports,
as it eyes sales of Rs 200 crore from the label by 2018-19. In the next year,
the company will aggressively expand its footprint in Central and North India,
increasing its reach to more homes across the country.
Speaking to the
media here, Mr PradeepCholayil, Chairman and Managing Director, Cholayil Private
Ltd said - "In coming years, between 2016 to 2019, we will focus on
developing new products and enhance distribution network in the north and east
markets.”
Brand Medimix has
also a strong overseas presence, and the company has recently forayed into the
US market and is betting big on the market to expand sales from overseas
market, which contributes 25% to its total revenues. "We are now expecting
a higher business volume from the US market. We are looking to have 40% sales
from exports in the next three years," Mr PradeepCholayil added. The
Middle East is the largest market for Medimix, which has also presence in
South-East Asia and is planning to enter Japan, he added.

beginnings in South India dating to 1969, brand Medimix has today grown to
become a force to reckon with across India. With four variants of soaps, face
wash, hygiene wash, Medimix products are available across the length &
breadth of the country both in the retail outlets as well as in the online
